Naked-DanH's Report

2013 was my fifth Bay to Breakers, and it was epic fun. I didn't register for the race since race sponsors charge over 50 dollars for a race bib, etc. I didn't care about finishing, about my time, or about getting a t-shirt, so I did it as a "bandit." I wasn't going to wear the race bib anyway since the whole point of me doing it was to do it wearing nothing. For those who don't know, the Bay to Breakers is a 12K run through San Francisco (from the Bay side to the Pacific Ocean (breakers) side. There are serious runners, casual walkers, people who go in costume, and people who go to party. And then there are the naked people, representing less than a tenth of one percent (if that) of the total participants, of whom I am one. I merged into the pack a couple of blocks from the starting line, not too long after the serious runners had passed. That moment of merging into a pack of hundreds--make that thousands--of clothed people while I am naked is such an exhilarating feeling. There I am, completely exposed, just as God created me. The reactions I got from the runners passing me by was overwhelmingly positive. One middle-aged lady stopped and asked to pose for a picture with me, saying that she told friends that she was going to get a shot of herself with a naked man. I gladly obliged her. Not too long after merging, I came across a topless lady waiting to use one of the port-a-potties. Among us nudists, men greatly outnumber the women, so I am always encouraging of topless or nude women. I stopped and congratulated her, and got a couple of pictures. Somewhere past Mile 6, I started feeling terrible. The temperature was only in the 70s, but I was feeling dehydrated and sick to my stomach. My calves were periodically cramping. I decided to start heading back without finishing the 7 and a half mile race. Walking against the flow of foot traffic increased my exposure greatly as the runners/walkers now had a full frontal view of me as they approached. Some of them turned away; some of them stared; and others shouted words of encouragement or complimented me on my "equipment." I made it back to the last water station and stopped for a rest and several cups of water. Once I was feeling better, I kept on backtracking all the way back to the Panhandle area (about Mile 3 of the course). It was there that I came across the party crowd. Lots of people requested that I pose for pictures, and I managed to get quite a few of them to take shots with my camera. I went into Panhandle Park, and it was there that I experienced my favorite memory of the 2013 Bay to Breakers. A rather bold young lady approached me and bluntly asked me how big I got when I got hard. I jokingly replied that if she talked to it, she might be able to see for herself. Much to my surprise, that's exactly what she did. I handed my camera to someone who was able to get a shot of her. I don't remember her exact words, but she was saying things like, "I want to see you big and hard. You look so hot," etc. And she also blew on it when she ran out of words. I had a raging hard-on pretty quickly, right out there in front of everyone in Panhandle Park. She loved seeing it. And even more, I think, she loved the fact that she had caused it. But she never touched me. Eventually, a park policeman approached (after my erection had subsided) and said I couldn't be naked in the park, so I moved back onto Fell Street. The street sweepers arrived at noon, announcing the end of the race, and I begrudgingly put my shorts and shirt back on. It had been a glorious day, although my legs and feet hurt like crazy from all the walking. On my walk back toward downtown, I received very little notice from the people around me. Just a few moments before, when I was naked, everyone had noticed me in one way or another. I wasn't special anymore; I was just a regular guy with regular clothes. I was missing my nudity already. I made it back downtown, caught a BART train to the airport and made my 5:00 PM flight back home. I already cannot wait for the 2014 Bay to Breakers. It is such a special feeling to be naked out in such a humongous crowd.
